February was a fun and busy month that flew by! Kadee had her cheer end of year showcase, Matthew finished up Junior Jazz basketball, Connor started playing basketball on a traveling team, and Kinlee had a bunch of dance performances. Sometimes I can't believe how busy we are. I feel like we run from one thing to the next and hardly have time to breathe. Although it's crazy, for the most part, I wouldn't change it for the world. I love watching my kids develop their talents and honestly pray for them that they can do their best in all they do.
I am still teaching English online and I still love it, except the early morning hours, the time change has really made it hard for me to get up in the mornings. I am so grateful I can work from home and spend so much time with my kids. The house is almost complete, we should be in in about 6 weeks and I cannot wait. Renting has been so hard and I am so ready to have my own home and my own space. The kids are very ready too.
Rory is very busy and I sometimes hate it. He is calling the softball and baseball games for the high school on ETV10, he is on city council, he is chief of police, and if he's not doing one of those things he's up at the new house. I think it will be easier for me when we have the house done and I can do yard work and garden.
The corona virus has made its way to the United States and people are in a full on panic. You can't buy toilet paper, hand soap, or hand sanitizer anywhere, lucky for my family I already hoard toilet paper so we should be good for the next few months. It's crazy to me how one virus can cause such mass hysteria, I think of the flu and how so much of it can be prevented if people would be more diligent in washing their hands and staying home when sick. I'm taking a natural disasters class and so much of it has been on being prepared for these types of situations. The LDS church has been telling us to be prepared for years, I feel like it's a sign of the times and as long as we heed their warnings and are prepared the best we can be we will be fine. Anyway, I'm praying for our country, like always, and praying the virus will pass quickly without any US casualties.
