RIP Roxy

On Wednesday our favorite dog was hit and killed by a truck. We didn't tell the kids, we told them she ran away. We decided that they will have enough heartache in their life and they didn't need to hear it, especially because Kadence has a hard time with death. She has mini meltdowns where she is afraid everyone is going to die. So we aren't going to tell them until they are older. Rory didn't want me to post about Roxy, but I said life is good and bad and we should remember it all. Roxy was such a funny dog. She would tilt her head sideways and snap at your fingers to get you to pet her. She always wanted to play fetch, but never quite got the concept. She loved people, especially kids and would let the kids maul her. We will miss her!


(This summer we set a live trap by the river to catch a skunk. We put food in it and Roxy went in there to get it and got stuck. This is one of my favorite pictures of her, she was waiting so patiently for us to let her out.)

Hello, Kitty!

On Saturday Kadence had her 5th birthday party. It was a Hello Kitty party and we had so much fun. We had Hello Kitty cake, chocolate ice cream, played Bingo, Freeze dance, pin the bow on Hello Kitty, and had a princess crown pinata. She had lots of friends, lots of presents, and lots of fun!


Kinlee turned 6 months old!! She is sitting up, eating baby food like crazy, sleeping through the night (for the most part), and trying to crawl. I can't believe my baby is already 6 months old!!


Connor had a valentine box contest at school. He was pretty sad his box didn't win, but I thought it was cute anyway. He played Jr Jazz again this year and is so very talented. He averages 15 shots (30 points) a game. He practices almost everyday at grandpa Denny's house across the street. Rory and I tell him he has to pass the ball to his other team members and he gets so mad and says, "If I'm open, I have to take the shot!" I hope he becomes a professional basketball player so I can retire young!

Kadence Jo Bradley

Yesterday my baby girl turned 5. I honestly can't believe it. Where does the time go? It seems like just yesterday I was holding her for the first time in the hospital. The story of her birth is a lot less stressful than Connor's. She was due March 12 but obviously joined us a little bit sooner than that. The day before she was born I insisted we go to Provo to walk around the mall. We spent hours walking around the mall and then met Candee, Kyle, and Candee's parents at the Olive Garden for dinner. After dinner I was soooo sick and just didn't feel right. We headed home and I started having contractions, so we took Connor to Debbie's house and headed to the hospital. They monitored me for a couple hours but decided my contractions weren't consistent enough and sent us home. I was miserable the whole night so first thing after I showered and did my make up we headed to the hospital again. This time they admitted me and decided we were going to have a baby. I was a little nervous for her birth because Connor had such a rough start, but a few weeks before I had steroid shots to develop her lungs so I was hoping that they worked and we wouldn't have any complications. It was a perfect delivery. I seriously pushed twice, only 15 minutes, and she was out. She was so beautiful with tons and tons of black hair. I remember how weird it was that I got to hold her and snuggle her immediately. She didn't need any oxygen and was even able to stay in my room with me that night (although the nurses came and got her so I could get some rest). We were able to bring her home the next day and so the story begins. Kadence was by far my best baby. She was always so content and happy and slept through the night at 2 months old. We are so glad she joined our family, she makes us smile everyday.
