Ice Cream Freeze

My beautiful little girl had a fabulous weekend. Since about October, her and her good friend Haylie have practiced, stretched, and danced their little hearts out to prepare to perform their duet. This weekend was the Carbon Dance Classic and they finally had the opportunity to perform. They did a little number called "The Ice Cream Freeze" by Hannah Montana. The competition started on Friday and I was so proud of the girls. It took a really long time to get to their duet, since the judges needed time in between each number to fill out the score sheets, but they waited very patiently and near the end they finally had the opportunity to shake their groove thing. They couldn't have done better! They remembered all their moves, smiled, and shook their booties perfectly... I guess the judges agreed, they took first! They were thrilled and Kadence couldn't wait to show her trophy off. She performed with her class twice on Saturday and they placed 2nd in their Country Girl routine. Love my little dancer and Encore dance, can't wait to see what the future holds!
Stretching to prepare for Country Girl, aren't their costumes adorable?!
Kadee and Haylie right before their duet, work it girls!
The cutest Car Hop I've ever seen!

Sarah, it was good to see you and Rory on Sunday for a few minutes. I was happy to be able to have a little talk with Kyle on Saturday night about coming to Sacrament Meeting, just for me. From here on it is his free agency, but his family need him there. I got to talk to Rory in the hall and I told him that if they ever call him to be a Sargent, I refuse to call him Sargent Rory. We sure miss all you guys. Your kids all look like they are doing so good and that your family is an active happy part of the Gospel. Love Mike
