Racoon

Here she is, our new baby kitty. Connor named her Racoon because her tail looks like a racoon tail. The kids LOVE her. They never put her down and the first thing Connor does when he gets up in the morning is goes and takes her potty. I have finally given in to peer (or kid) pressure and have decided to let the kids get some animals. Ugh! We are going to get 2 goats tomorrow so I guess we are giving into the life of a farmer. I know this makes Candee giggle because I swore to her I never would!

Update: We never ended up getting the goats- Haulaluya! Racoon only joined our family for about a month and disappeared. RIP Racoon.

My Happiness List

I saw this on someone's blog and decided I needed to count my blessings, here it goes:

1. My kids. They make me laugh and drive me crazy every day. I can't even remember what life was like without them, they are the best.
2. My hubby. Even when we fight I love him. I can't imagine my life without him. He helps me with the kids ALL the time and pretty much does whatever I ask him without complaint.
3. My AMAZING friends. I have made some great friends that have helped me through so much, can you say free therapy!
4. Bed time. I love when my kids go to bed at night, enough said
5. The gospel. I don't really talk about my faith very much, but I am so grateful to have the gospel in my life.
6. A beautiful home to live in. Sometimes I sit and think about all that people go without. I think we take for granted that we live where we are free and have so much. I try not to take my home and material things for granted, because so many people go without everyday.
7. A clean house. I love when my house is spotless.
8. Mi Familia. Not just my kids and hubby but my great extended family that is always there for me.
9. My cell phone. I love to text message and talk, I am addicted.
10. Spring. I love the smell of rain in the Spring, there is nothing like it. The other day I made Candee stop and take a wiff, just because I love the smell so much!

I have so much in my life to be grateful for!

Dinosaur Museum

Ok, so I love the dinosaur museum. Connor's class went on a tour on Thursday and it was so great. The guide was awesome, he was so good and patient with the kids and knew so much about everything in the museum (I know that's their job, but I was still impressed). The kids started out at the mammoth and then headed to the Tee Pee where they were able to sit inside while he read them a story. They then toured the rest of the museum and ended up at the live alligator tank. That alligator is so lazy, it just laid there the whole time. There is a soft shell turtle that the kids were fasinated with. He fed it while we were there and even let the kids pet a lizard. The kids had so much fun, I am so glad Connor had such a great experience with preschool. Let's hope he does as well next year when his mom is his teacher!

I had to laugh because I told Kadee to let me take her picture and she totally posed. It was her idea to put her legs up on the bench and sit like a model, silly girl.

Dino Mine Adventure Park

On Thursday Connor's class took their first field trip to the Dino Mine Adventure Park. It was a lot of fun. Connor loved it because he got to take snack and hand it out to all his friends. They loved the popsicles, cookies, and water bottles.
He climbed across the monkey bars and his favorite thing was when Miss Sandy pushed a group of them in the tire swing. Kadee had just as much fun. She loved running with the girls and sliding with Landon. It was a really fun field trip and a great experience for the kids.

Spoiled Rotten!!!!!

For MyKella's birthday we went to Spoiled Rotten in Spanish Fork. It was so much fun. At first Kadee wouldn't dress up, she was so embarrassed. So I took her out and let her look in the gift shop and when we came back in she was ready to party! She walked the runway, painted her nails, glittered her hair, wore necklaces, purses and headbands and had a great time. They were served pink cupcakes with pink hot chocolate (which was so yummy!). Afterward we went to McDonalds and had lunch. They are so funny. Landon lost his shoes and wouldn't come out of the slide, Candee seriously had to drag him out and then I had to go back in and search for his shoes. The kids had a great time, thanks Aunt Candee!!!

Blogger Slacker

I have been such a slacker lately. My computer was in the shop for a couple days, so I wasn't able to update at all. I have been able to read everyone's blogs though. We had a great Easter. We went camping down on the desert and froze the whole time. The kids had so much fun climbing on the rocks and sitting by the fire. The Easter bunny came to visit us in our new camp trailer. Connor said, "I love the Easter bunny so much!" We put together an Easter Egg hunt for the kids and they went crazy. The wind drove me crazy, but my kids didn't even seem to notice it. Poor Connor got another ear infection while we were down there. I don't know what I'm going to do with him! He had a fever on and off the whole time. Luckily Jamie brought some Motrin so I was able to keep it under control.

My kids were so exhausted on the way home. They really do love each other when they aren't ripping each other's throats out.

Peek-A-Boo Preschool

So in an earlier post (much earlier, think August) I posted about Connor starting preschool. I have loved this preschool. Miss Sandy is so awesome. Not only is she a great teacher, she has become a great friend. So, I found out a couple months ago that she is going to be moving!!! I am really sad about this. See her daughter, Amy is one of my very best amigas and I don't think she will come to visit anymore if her parents don't live here. I am very sad about that, but I do have a silver lining. Sandy offered for me to take over her preschool! I am so excited, this has been a dream of mine for several years now. I am taking over the name, Peek A Boo, and I will teach in the day care in a different room. I have gone to a few preschools to see how they do things and have been looking on the internet for activities. It is going to be so fun! I already have my classes filling up, so I feel confident it will be successful. So my question for you is this, what do you look for in a preschool? What would be the determining factor for sending (or not sending) your child to a certain school? I really want to be successful with this and I want to have a good reputation, any input would be great!
