October

October has always been one of my favorite months.  We started the month with Kadence getting her braces on. She was so excited and so ready.  I put it off as long as possible, because I really didn't want to have to pay for 2 sets of braces at the same time, but I finally gave in and am now paying a small fortune every month for my oldest 2 to have beautiful teeth.

Five days later, on Oct. 10th, Kinlee got her cast off.  She was beyond thrilled to get it off and was so excited to be able to do cartwheels again.  Even though she was excited about cart wheels, she hasn't done one yet, she's too nervous!

Rory was gone most of the month hunting with his dad down at Lake Powell.  Derk drew a once in a lifetime desert big horn sheep hunt so they spent many days near lake Powell enjoying the beautiful weather and looking for sheep.  They finally got a really nice one at Peshliki and I've never seen 2 grown men so excited.

We ended the month with trunk or treat, Halloween and Red Ribbon Week.  I didn't get many pictures of the kids during Red Ribbon week, it's hard with all of them going a million different directions.  I did get to plan the Halloween parties for Matthew and Kinlee's classes.  We had fun playing Frankenstein needs a brain, decorating cookies, and watching Toy Story of Terror.  There were a few other things we did and I think all the kids had a great time.  That same week Rory dressed up in his cop uniform and talked to Matthews class about being safe.  He read them a little story and answered questions about different ways to be safe.

Connor has been going to open gym and tries out for the JV Basketball team next week!
