For the past 11 weeks Rory has been in Sandy at the POST training academy. He has been doing physical, academic, scenario, and tactical training. This is the third and hopefully final school he will have to go to. He has already completed his Corrections and SWAT certifications. He just graduated on Wednesday, October 21 with his POST certification and we couldn't be more proud of him! He has worked very hard and has made the Sheriff's office proud. They gave him a taser to carrry around (which he is very excited about) and his parents, grandma, my grandparents, and I went in on a new duty gun for him.
We went up on Tuesday after school and went with my grandma to dinner at Winger's. After that we met Robby (Rory has been at school with him this whole time) and Brandie at Chuck E Cheese. The kids had a blast as they always do!
The next day I had a class on how to support my husband the police officer. It was a very interesting class and I learned a lot! I can't believe how much our officers go through on a daily basis, it is so important to support them, but keep them grounded at the same time. I love my husband so much and I am so grateful for all he does for us. He is a great daddy, an awesome husband, and a fantastic cop!

Connor was so funny, he fell asleep during the ceremony, but everytime we would clap he would wake up long enough to clap a couple times and then went back to sleep.

Congratulations Rory!!! We are very proud of all the hard work you go through doing all these trainings. I am not so happy your home though cause now I no longer have my single mother friend to talk to at all hours of the day and night!! j/k Congrats again.

I think that deputy is the most handsome and best one of all. Congrats son we love you and think you are great. Sarah's not too bad either.ha, ha.

Oh! So that's why there was a "Congratulations Deputy Riley" sign on Brandie's house!
