This past week we decided to go to SL and take the kids on a little adventure. We went to Chuck E Cheese, the Zoo, stayed in a hotel, and went swimming. The kids loved it! They thought Chuck E Cheese was the coolest place ever, Connor got to hug Chuck E himself, but Kadee wasn't about to go near him. There was a ride that took your picture. Kadee loved that one. Every time I couldn't find her I would either find her on that ride, or back at the table eating pizza.
The zoo was fun. The animals were all really active, so we got to watch them play. I got a picture of some bears swimming and the kids loved all the different animals. Kadee loved the "really big kitties" or cougars and Connor loved the penguins and the bears swimming. Kadee was so funny because every time she would see a monkey she would start to sing "one little monkey swinging from a tree." It was really cute.
We then met my grandparents for dinner and headed to the hotel. The kids were so excited they wouldn't calm down. At 11 I was begging Kadee to lay down and she would say, "no, uh-uh, we play at hotel" I had a remicade appt. at 8 the next morning so Rory took the kids swimming in the pool while I was gone. We had a really good time and I'm so glad we got to spend some quality time as a family!

Don't you just love re-living your childhood through your kids!? The zoo and Chuck-e-cheese is just about the best two places on earth huh!? Okay...only if you are 8 and under...or my husband...

WOW! It sounds like you had a great time. I love the pictures. We love the zoo, but we've never taken the kids to chuck e cheese before. Lexi and Abby have gone with grama beagley. Kadee looks really cute in her picture! I'm happy that you got some family time.
I wish we would have come... maybe next time. Was Chuck E Cheese as great as you remember as a kid? Pretty gay when your an adult--I remember it being like the best place on earth and now I'm not so impressed. But the kids LOVE it so that's all that matters. I'm glad you had a coupon that helps a lot! I wish you guys would have come to dinner with us...the cowboy was exceptionally good tonight! Love ya babe.

I am glad you got some time away from working on the house and was able to have a fun weekend with your fam. We miss you guys lots and can't wait to come home and play again.

The house is looking awesome, paint is the best. Starts looking like a house in a hurry when you get the color on the walls. I love Cadees room too...Gotta love that pretty purple. Looks like you guys had a fun trip...it is always good to get away for a few days and take a break in the middle of building.
