The Playoffs and Paint...

This weekend I got to experience my first playoff game. Rory goes to atleast one every year, but I am usually not invited. We went with Hyrum and Paula to watch the Jazz take on the Nuggets. It was such a fun game and it was C.R.A.Z.Y. It was so loud in there, they had fireworks, confetti, clappers, the whole bit. The fans were on their feet most of the game, and the best part is the Jazz WON!!!! Our seats were pretty close so I got some amazing pictures of our favorite players. We took a couple pictures of Rory and I together, but they did not turn out so I am not posting them. Let's just say pregnancy makes me look a little frumpy.

Candee painted MyKella's room a couple weeks ago and Kadee fell in love with it. She kept saying she wanted a room just like Kella's, so Candee came over on Friday and made her wish come true. She is so talented. It only took her a few hours to paint flowers on all of Kadee's walls and it turned out so cute. Thanks Candee for taking time out of your busy schedule to help us.

Cuteness....

All the way back in March I had Candee and Debbie take Kadee up to Wellington elementary and have her pictures taken. It was for her birthday, but I have been really disappointed in the WalMart Portrait Studio lately and didn't know when I would get up north to take her to Sears. I told Candee and Deb that since these are her birthday pictures they had to make sure to get a good one. So they took her up there and made the photographer take a ton of pictures. They finally picked their favorite and I absolutely love it. I finally got my scanner up and running again, so here it is:

We have been doing lots of fun activities in preschool lately. The kids are loving the warm weather and I am loving that we can finally go outside. Last week we learned about bugs and the kids made this (This is Connor's):

And last but certainly not least, here is our little bug. I know it's hard to see in this picture, but she has her hand on her head and is totally posing. She has gotten so active and I LOVE the feeling of her moving in my stomach. I told Rory that is the only thing I will miss about being pregnant. I just love when they kick you and I love when they get hiccups. It cracks me up every time. I think we have finally decided on a name, so stay tuned for that announcement! :)

Mesquite

Easter this year was so much fun. Derk and Deb got all of us a condo in Mesquite, Derek and his kids weren't able to go, so it was us, Derk and Deb, and Kyle and Candee and their kids. So anyway, we loaded up the kids and headed out of town Thursday morning. The weather was so crazy, at one point we hit a major snow storm and the temp outside was 22 degrees! After that the weather just kept going up and when we left Mesquite yesterday it was 78 degrees. We were so sad to come home to this miserable weather. While in Mesquite we enjoyed a couple parks, Beaver Dam (Kadee LOVED that she could say Beaver Dam and kept saying it over and over again), bowling, an arcade, the city Easter egg hunt, our own Easter egg hunt, dying eggs, yummy food, a little bit of swimming and a whole lot of fun. My kids kept asking if we could just move there. They have some really great parks in town and you can't beat the weather. The condo we stayed at was so nice, we had our own rooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen and plenty of space for the kids to run around. There was a little window in the master suite that looked out over the living room and the kids thoroughly enjoyed throwing things from it whenever grandpa turned his back! I think all those rug rats had grandpa a little stressed out, but he was a good sport about it all. Thanks Derk and Deb for the great trip and the great memory.

All the kids enjoying the park.

Everything said Mesquite on it, even the garbage cans.

I thought this was a precious picture of Kella and Kadee. They were joined at the hip the whole trip, Kella is so good to let her little cousin follow her around.
Kella, Kadee, and Landon posing at the entrance of the condominiums.
I am pretty sure Landon is picking his nose, LOL!
Connor loved the Palm trees and really wants to plant one in our backyard. Unfortunately, I don't think we have the weather for it!

Blessed

Since this is my journal as well as my blog I just wanted to write a little post about how blessed we are. Sometimes I lay awake at night worrying about everything; the baby, the kids, money, health, the preschool, you name it, I worry about it. The other night I was doing that and decided that instead I would name all the things I am blessed with. WOW! The list was so much longer than my worries. This weekend I was having some really bad cramping and was so worried I was going into labor. I went early with both of my kids so I kind of have a phobia about going too early with this baby. The cramps just kept getting worse and I really didn't know what to do. I finally prayed for guidance and felt that if I needed to go to the hospital, the Lord would let me know. I am feeling much better today and have realized that this time around I am going to have to take it easy. I am so excited to be welcoming another baby into our family. For the longest time I felt that life was complete with our 2 kids, now I can't imagine life without this sweet baby girl. We are so blessed to have 2 healthy kids and one on the way. We are so blessed to have a beautiful home, a great extended family, wonderful friends, jobs, the list goes on... I know that this is probably a little too serious for blogging, but I just felt I couldn't go any longer without saying how grateful I am for the blessings in my life.

Pink, Pink, Pink!

I had an appointment with a neonatal specialist at Utah Valley today. I am only 16 weeks, but they wanted to have a look at the baby since I tend to deliver early and because of my Crohn's disease. The ultrasound tech came in and had a look at the babies, spine, brain, heart, legs, and arms. They all look great. The doctor then came in and talked with me about my Crohn's the medications I am on to control it and answered all our questions. We weren't going to find out the sex, but Rory asked and we found out we are having a....

GIRL!!!!!

We couldn't be more excited. Rory wanted another hunting buddy, but is very excited to have another princess. I knew from the beginning that it was another girl, and I am excited that now I can start preparing and organizing things. Now comes the hard part, names. We are having a hard time agreeing on a name, so if you have any ideas, feel free to comment!

Heaven must be missing an angel...

Last Wednesday Kadee had her first dance performance. It was absolutely adorable. She takes dance from Julia at Encore Dance and she loves it. She has been practicing at home for about a week and was so excited to get her costume and put it on. They danced at the Drill Team Spring Show to "Heaven Must be Missing an Angel" and stole the show. I think Encore dance rocked the house (probably because Kadee was in the one group and MyKella was in the other). I am so glad I have a girly girl and a rough and tough boy, it makes life fun.

This weekend my nephew Devin was baptized. Afterward we went to Chuck A Rama for lunch, which my kids LOVE. They love the idea of going back for more, although I don't know why because they really don't eat that much.
Connor and Kadee with Devin

We also got to go to a Jazz game. Wellington Junior Jazz had tickets available for super cheap so we got to watch the Jazz take on the Clippers. Our seats were pretty high up, but the kids didn't care. They actually did way better than I thought they would and we only went out 3 times the whole game. The highlight of Kadee's night was the free hot dog and drink you get with the junior jazz tickets. They were also handing out free popcorn in our section so Kadee was stoked. Connor loved the free Jazz sign and little Jazz ball one of the Yell Leaders gave us.
Posing by the Jazz car. Kadee wouldn't get in the picture with the other kids, so I had to get in the picture with her.

He's so stinkin' cute...

My little Connor Vonnor is getting so big. Lately he is obsessed with how to spell things, anything. His favorites are his friends names, he can pretty much spell them all. I went into his room the other day and this is what he was doing. He probably sat and spelled about 10 different words with his pretzels. My favorites of course were his name and Kadee's. I am really regretting holding him back. Rory and I made the decision to keep out of kindergarten for a year. His birthday is in the summer, and we were really concerned that he would fall behind in school. He is really small for his age and we really, as every parent, just want what is best for our kids. Looking back, I really think he would have done just fine in kindergarten. I guess you live and learn. I hope he doesn't get bored next year and I hope he continues to love to learn.

April and May

April and May have been a blur.  We moved into the new house so it's been a very busy time in our lives.  The kids are really enjoying h...
